World Championships Qualifier
The Dambuster Triathlon has been selected as a World Championships Qualifier for Budapest, Hungary in 2010. Although the exact dates for the World Championships are yet to be confirmed by the organisers it is anticipated the announcement will be made soon.
Athletes should be aware that it is their responsibility to apply to the British Triathlon Federation directly if they wish to qualify to represent Great Britain at any international events. Details of application can be found going to the BTF website. The Pace Setter Events website will keep you up to date with developments in respect of selection and team managers etc as information is made available to us.
The official website for the Budapest World Championships can be found at: http://www.triatlon.hu/vb2010/ though there is little information relating to the event at present and we are hoping that their statement that they are hoping to be “staging an unmemorable competition.” is simply a translation error. Places at the Dambuster Triathlon will be limited so if you are looking to qualify you are advised to book a place early.
