I thought the event was brilliant, really well organised and the marshalls were always full of encouragement (even the cadets stuck out on road junctions in the middle of the bike leg) giving a cheery smile and a clap as I passed.
Ok, I was never going to break any records but I hope to return to better my time at some point in the not too distant future.
And I shall remember the finish for a long time to come…I am a Vitruvian !
Thanks to everyone who marshalled and supported on the day – they were all absolutely brilliant. Also thanks to Raj who gave me a lift to the start line-sorry I didn’t see you afterwards. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, even the run (never thought I’d be saying that) – and I could walk the next day!! Miracles do happen. Thanks once again for a great event.
